Will I feel groggy after the procedure?
Not at all! Nitrous oxide wears off quickly once your dentist stops the gas flow. You’ll feel like yourself again in just a few minutes and can drive yourself home after your appointment.
Are there any possible side effects to using nitrous oxide?
Side effects are rare but might include mild nausea or dizziness in some of our patients. Your dentist and dental team closely monitor you to ensure you are feeling great throughout your visit and even after it is complete.
Is nitrous oxide safe for everyone?
For most patients, yes! However, if you are currently pregnant or have certain medical conditions, nitrous oxide may not be the best option for you. Drs. Scott and Grove will review your medical history to determine if it’s right for you.
